LACTATION CONSULTATION

Lactation consultations usually last about 90 minutes and can be done in our office, in your home, or virtually. In person visits typically include a weighted feed so you know exactly how much milk your baby is transferring during our visit.

PUMP FITMENT SESSION $50

You can bring your pump, or use one provided by ABN during the visit. This visit is typically about 30 minutes long where you'll be measured for the proper pump flange size, try different sizes and styles of flanges, and if desired, a walk through of how to set up your pump and how each of the settings on your pump work.

MILK AND COOKIES LACTATION PEER GROUP

Bring your baby and your milk - however you feed it, and I'll bring the cookies! This event is free to attend. Every Thursday at 10:00am starting August 8, 2024. Check out our Instagram page to see if there's a special topic this week. Click here to sign up!

WEEKLY LATCH WORKSHOP - $25

Every Thursday at 11:00am by appointment. This is an affordable option for people whose insurance doesn't cover lactation. This visit will happen in a group setting lasting 30 minutes. Best suited for families who don't have clinically complex situations and just need extra help with latch, positioning, and to check weight gain and milk transfer. We have hosted classes ranging from Tummy Time Basics to Postpartum Toolkit for Couples.

Upcoming classes may include cloth diapering, elimination communication, and first year milestones.

PRENATAL CHEST/BREASTFEEDING CONSULTATION

Bring your partner and learn how to prepare to feed your baby with your milk. This session will give you hands-on skills to prepare you for chest/breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and other baby care basics like how to hold and soothe your baby. This consultation is an excellent addition to the breastfeeding class at your hospital. This consutation will be tailored to your specific needs and goals. Parents who've worked with ABN prenatally had better feeding outcomes and reported reduced stress. Special emphasis is given to the non-birthing parent so they can feel prepared to care for their birthing partner and their baby.
